I am a sole practitioner that provides cost-effective legal counsel to growing businesses that generally cannot afford to hire an in-house legal resources at this point in the companies' growth cycle.  

I have been involved in over 75 transactions throughout my career. They have ranged from smaller tuck in acquisitions for either a roll up strategy or selected product enhancements to very large public company mergers.

As executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, for three publicly traded companies, I was a member of the companies' Executive Committee and actively involved in the business development efforts for each of the companies and their business units.  I also was responsible for the commercial, internal audit and compliance functions for the company.

Prior to my current practice, I was employed by Vertex Business Services from May 2014 through July 2019.  Before joining Vertex, I was the General Counsel for Cambium Learning Group, and its predecessors, for 16 years.  Cambium was a public company focused on providing educational curricula primarily to the K-12 market. Prior to joining this position, I held various legal positions with First Data Corp. from 1986 to 1998, including supporting First Data’s data processing services and money transfer services through the Western Union business unit. Immediately prior to joining the predecessor of the Cambium business, I served two years as General Counsel for one of First Data’s operating units.
